WHY WE BELIEVE WHAT WE BELIEVE
Biblical beliefs are important for a number of reasons. They can provide us with:

  • A sense of purpose and meaning in life. The Bible tells us that we were created by God for a purpose, and that our lives have meaning and significance. This can be a great source of comfort and hope in times of difficulty.
  • A moral compass. The Bible provides us with a set of moral standards to live by, which can help us to make good choices and live ethical lives.
  • A sense of community. The Bible teaches us that we are all part of a larger family, the family of God. This can help us to feel connected to others and to find support and encouragement in our faith.
  • Hope for the future. The Bible teaches us that God has a plan for the world, and that one day He will make all things new. This hope can give us strength to persevere through difficult times and to keep looking forward to the future.

We believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.
